In order to have great skin you have to hit the genetic jackpot.
In order to have great skin you have to spend tons of money on expensive products.
The answer to both questions is “False!” Surprised? Of course, great genes never hurt, but they aren’t the only way to have beautiful skin, and neither is money. Fool everyone into thinking you spent a fortune on skin products by following these skincare secrets:
Always use sunscreen. This is probably the most important rule to follow for healthy skin! Make sure your sunscreen is SPF 30 or higher and use it every day, rain or shine, winter or summer. Damaging ultra-violet rays can get to you even when it’s cloudy.
Exfoliate. Exfoliating twice a week polishes skin, revives collagen, and minimizes fine lines. Be careful not to scrub, though. Rubbing your skin gently is enough to do the trick.
Know your skin type. Use the appropriate skincare products.
Eat a healthy diet. A diet rich in omega-3’s and antioxidants holds in moisture and prevents inflammation and damage that lead to aging. Also, drink lots of water for healthy, glowing skin.
Moisturize day and night. This is so important- never skip it!
Don’t touch your face. Touching your face can spread bacteria and cause breakouts.
Clean your makeup brushes. Remove the bacteria and makeup residue that linger on your brushes by cleaning once a week with warm water and shampoo.
Sun protection. In addition to sunscreen, wear hats and sunglasses if you’ll be in the sun.
Don’t smoke. Smoking causes skin damage that leads to wrinkles. Smoking is just bad for your allover health.
Wash your face.
Always remove makeup. Never sleep with your makeup on.
Exercise. This is great for circulation and will make your skin glow!
Clean your phone. Your phone is covered with millions of bacteria that you don’t want to transfer to your face.
Not only are these great skin secrets doable for your budget, but they’re easy, too! Start taking care of your skin and it won’t take long to see the results.

Toothpaste. It’s a household staple we all use every day without thinking too much about it. You need it to brush your teeth and keep them clean and healthy. But did you know that a tube of toothpaste can do so much more? Check out our top 11 surprising uses for toothpaste:
Relieve insect bites. Dab some toothpaste on itchy insect bites for relief and to reduce swelling.
Help heal blisters. Apply toothpaste to a blister- it will dry it out and help it to heal faster.
Eliminate furniture rings. Rub on some toothpaste with a soft cloth and wipe dry.
Defog goggles. Foggy goggles are annoying and dangerous, and treating them can help prevent fogging. Coat with toothpaste and wipe off.
Soothe a minor burn. The toothpaste will cool it off. Do this only on burns where the skin is not open and oozing.
Get rid of a zit. Dab a dot of toothpaste on a pimple and leave it overnight to get rid of it faster.
Freshen hands. Scrub your hands with toothpaste to remove garlic, onion, and fish odors.
Remove scuffs from leather shoes. Dab and rub with a soft cloth. You can also try this on leather bags and jackets.
Clean crayon from walls. If your kids decorate your walls without your permission, squirt with toothpaste, scrub, and rinse with water
Clean your sink. It’s handy right there, anyway, so you might as well try this. Scrub the sink to get it clean and fresh.
Remove dye stains. If you get hair color on your face or hands, scrub stains away with some toothpaste.
Pretty amazing! And a pretty great bargain, too, if you think about it. A tube of toothpaste costs just a few dollars, and look at all it can do for you!

How does a fabulous summer vacation sound to you? Great, right? But too expensive, maybe? Don’t give up so easily! Oh, sure, a dream vacation can cost a fortune if you want to go that way, but it doesn’t mean the alternative is staying home or settling for an “eh” vacation. There are ways to travel in style and still stick to a budget. Keep reading for some smart travel tips.
Negotiate. One of the most important tips to keep in mind is that nothing is set in stone. You can almost always negotiate for a better price or more perks. You may not get what you want but it always pays to try.
Mention occasions. Let hotels and restaurants know if you’ll be celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or any other important occasion and ask for a discount. At the very least you might score a bonus or an upgrade.
Call the hotel directly. It’s easy to book through websites and travel services, but if you call the hotel directly you can speak to a manager who can help you with special deals and discounts.
Know when to travel. You can save quite a bit on airfare if you travel on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Also check to see what time of the day is cheaper.
Travel to and from alternate airports. You can save by flying to a city’s secondary airport.
Book connecting flights. Often cheaper than flying direct.
Shop in local supermarkets. You’ll save a lot by buying groceries in the supermarket instead of eating every meal at a restaurant. Ask for a refrigerator in you room (there might be a small fee for that) and stock up.
Know which credit cards to use. Make sure you won’t have to pay foreign transaction fees.
Take public transportation. Cheaper than renting a car, and also a more authentic experience!
Rent an apartment. Renting an apartment is less expensive than staying in a hotel, and having a kitchen will allow you to eat meals at home.
Get museum passes. You can often buy one pass that will get you entry to many places in the city.
Look for free events and attractions. Look online, read local papers and guide boods, and ask around. If you stay in a hotel ask the concierge or the front desk.
Stay a block away from the beach. Still close enough for beach fun, but cheaper than staying at a resort on the beach.
Use rewards and mileage. If you’ve racked up credit card rewards, now’s the time to use them! Redeem them for airline tickets and hotel stays.
Social media. Follow travel sites so you’ll be up on current specials.
BYOB. Avoid expensive bars.
